Hyuna Bio
Born in South Korea as Kim Hyun-ah, Hyuna is a popular rapper, singer, songwriter, and model associated with K-pop. A former member of one of the country’s most popular girl groups, 4Minute, Hyuna started her career as a part of another girl group called Wonder Girls in the year 2007, joining 4Minute in 2009. She started her career as a solo artist in 2010, subscribing to a form called ‘Performance-Oriented Music’. Her first single song ‘Change’ ranked number 2 on the Gaon Digital Chart of South Korea. The title track of her first EP acquired 100 million videos on YouTube making her the first female solo K-Pop artist to have made this achievement. Some of her popular songs include Very Hot, Show Me, Flower Shower, Hobgoblin, Dart, Mirror / Self Portrait, and Babe. She has received several awards including Mnet 20’s Choice Awards for Best 20’s Performance, Melon Music Awards for Hot Trend Song and MBC Music Star, and several Mnet Asian Music Awards.
