Hyunri Lee, a Japanese-Korean actress better known by as Hyunri, was born in Tokyo, Japan, on December 18, 1986. In "The Voice of Water," which was formally invited to the 65th Berlin International Film Festival, she had her first leading role. Numerous honours were bestowed to this film, including the 29th Takasaki Film Festival's Rising Star Award. Additionally, she was given the 2017 People's Choice Asian Star Award at the Seoul International Drama Awards. She earned the Silver lion medal at the Venice International Film Festival in 2020 for her performance as the supporting Hiroko Kusakabe in the Kiyoshi Kurosawa-directed film "Wife of a Spy." Tsugumi's performance in Ryusuke Hamaguchi's 2021 film "The wheel of fate and imagination" took home the Silver Bear Grand July Award at the Berlin International Film Festival.
