I-Octane Bio
I-Octane is the stage name of the Jamaican reggae and dancehall recording artist Byiome Muir. He was born in Clarendon, Jamaica on April 29, 1984. Muir went to college at Knox Community College, but left to pursue music. He started his music career at 16 years old and in 2000 released his first singles “Stepp a Seed” and “Oh Jah” through Penthouse Records under the stage name Richie Rich. Shortly after the release of his first singles he started using the stage name I-Octane. In 2011 he released his debut EP titled My Life and has since released the EPs Straight From The Heart, and New Chapter. He released his debut studio album in 2012 titled Crying To The Nation. In 2014 he released his second studio album titled My Journey. Muir has released his music and albums through the labels Penthouse, Arrows, Conquer The Globe, and Tad’s International.
