Ian Hunter Bio

Ian Hunter, whose full name is Ian Hunter Patterson, is a British singer, songwriter, and musician who was born on June 3, 1939, in Oswestry, Shropshire, England. He began his musical career in 1958 as a solo artist. He is most known for being the lead singer of the famous English rock band called 'Mott the Hoople', which was created in 1969 and was dissolved in 1974. The band had an important and solid fan base, so, when he continued his career as a solo artist in 1974, he already had a loyal group of fans.

He has worked with several important people in the music industry, including famous producer Mike Ronson. During his whole solo career, he released over 20 full length studio albums and several singles, among which stand out “Once Bitten, Twice Shy”, “Just Another Night”, “When the Daylight Comes” and “We Gotta Get Out of here”. He has collaborated with De Kunst on the single "Hunter" and Genya Ravan on the single "Junkman".
