Ice Prince Bio
Ice Prince, born as Panshak Henry Zamani on October 30th, 1986 in Minna, Nigeria is a rapper of Nigerian descent that began rapping in high school and recording soon after graduation. Ice Prince cites rappers Notorious B.I.G., Rakim, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Ludacris and Busta Rhymes as his main influencers of music.
In 2003 he joined up with other artists such as Jesse Jags, M.I., Eve, Taz and Ruby and formed The Loopy Crew. They then began releasing music and Ice Prince got massive radio airplay for his single “Rewind.” The song came in at the number 7 spot on Rhythm FM’s Top 7 Chart and numerous other radio station charts. On Cool FM and Vision FM the single charted at the number 1 position. Off the success of his single he signed a record contract with the label Chocolate City.
In 2009 Ice Prince won the Hennessy Artistry competition and then released his debut album Everybody Loves Ice Prince, which features the well-known single “Oleku.” In 2013 he released his second studio album entitled Fire of Zamani. Ice Prince has won numerous awards including a BET award, Ghana Music Award, two Nigerian Entertainment awards, two Channel O Music Video Awards, and three Headies Awards.
