Iceage Bio
Iceage is a Danish quartet punk rock band that was formed in 2008 in Copenhagen, Hovedstaden, Denmark. The founding members of the band include Dan Kjær Nielsen (drums, percussion), Johan Suurballe Wieth (guitar, viola), Elias Bender Rønnenfelt (guitar, piano, vocals), and Jakob Tvilling Pless (bass, mandolin).
The band dropped their debut self-titled EP 'Iceage' in 2009. Two years later in 2011, they collaborated with Tambourhinoceros Records to issue their debut album ‘New Brigade’. The band made its debut in the United States with a performance in Brooklyn, New York in 2011. Two years after, its sophomore album ‘You’re Nothing’ dropped which earned them a deal with the successful Matador Records. Album #3 ‘Plowing Into the Field of Love’ dropped in 2014 through Matador Records and their next full-length effort ‘Beyondless’ followed in 2018. Their gift LP ‘Seek Shelter’ arrived in May 2021.
