Ichika Nito (born July 7, 1994 in Japan) is a Japanese self-taught guitarist and music producer, best known for as one of the most creative minds behind new age electric rock. He released the 2020 EP "Until the End," and has performed with the group Ichikoro.
Nito learned to play the guitar when he was only 15 years old. As a teenager, influenced by guitar players like Russell Malone, Marc Okubo, and Tosin Abasi, he practiced the guitar for about five hours every day.
In 2016, he began posting videos of himself playing on Instagram, showcasing his technical and imaginative melodies. His videos quickly gained attention in Japan and abroad. In January 2017, Ichika released his first EP, "forn," on TaWaRa's ViViX label. He also signed an endorsement contract with Ibanez in May of that year. In June, he released another EP, "Casket," as part of the unit "Among the Sleep," with guitarist Gen.
In July 2020, Nito was selected as the 8th best guitarist of all time by readers of the British guitar magazine "Total Guitar." In March 2021, he formed the band "Dios" with Sasanomarii and released their first single, "Escape," in the same month.
