Il Divo is a classical crossover vocal group that got its start in 2003. Il Divo’s members include Urs Bühler, Sébastien Izambard, Carlos Marín and David Miller. Their self-titled first album released in 2004 in some countries and 2005 worldwide. Their second album, Ancora, debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 after its release. This led to several high-profile shows, such as performing the 2006 FIFA World Cup song.
Their third studio album, Siempre, released in 2006, followed by The Promise, Wicked Game, A Musical Affair, Amor & Pasión, The Greatest Hits, The Christmas Collection and several concert recordings and DVDs. Over their first five years, Il Divo sold more than 20 million records, willing 150 gold and platinum discs. Il Divo performed at the inauguration of Barack Obama in 2009 and earned the Billboard Breakthrough Award for their 2009 tour. In 2011, they received the Artist of the Decade award from the Classic Brit Awards. In 2012, the group performed for Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee. They began a Broadway show in 2013 and in 2015, the group won the Silver Clef Award.
