Imelda Staunton was born on January 9, 1956, in Archway, London, England. Her full name is Imelda Mary Philomena Bernadette Staunton. She obtained her degree from the prestigious RADA and later joined as an associate member. Her credits include Pride (2007), Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007), and Vera Drake (2004). (2014). For "A Chorus of Disapproval" and "The Corn is Green," she won the Laurence Olivier Theatre Award in 1986 for Best Performance in a Supporting Role. For her work in "Guys and Dolls," she was nominated for a 1997 Laurence Olivier Theatre Award for Best Actress in a Musical of the 1996 season.
