Indigo Sparke is an Australian singer and songwriter who was born and raised in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Her parents are musicians which influenced their naming her after Duke Ellington’s Mood Indigo.
Indigo’s early musical influences include Joni Mitchell and Neil Young. Her first EP Nightbloom dropped in 2016 after which she embarked on an Australian tour in support of Big Thief. Indigo later marked her South by Southwest debut and toured the United States in 2019. Her debut album echo was co-produced by Indigo, Adrianne Lenker and Andrew Sarlo. It was also engineered by another Big Thief member Phil Weinrobe. The album was released in 2021 through Sacred Bones. Some of her well known singles include Holographic Heart (2017), The Day I Drove the Car Around the Block (2018) and Baby (2020).
