Irvin Martin Smith Jr. is an NFL player born on August 9, 1998, in Arizona, USA. He played college football at Alabama, going 41-3 overall. He won the 2017 National Championship. Irv played in the national title games for three seasons and won the SEC Championships in 2016 and 2018.
Minnesota Vikings selected him in the 2019 NFL Draft as the 50th overall pick in the second round. He was the 4th of ten Alabama players drafted in 2019. Irv is the highest-drafted Viking from Alabama since Dwayne Rudd in 1997. He caught his first NFL TD against Denver in September 2019.
Irv set Alabama's record for TD catches in a season as a junior in 2018. He was named 2nd-Team All-SEC by league coaches. He was a 2nd-Team All-America choice by the AFCA. Irv is the founder of We The Change Foundation. He was tabbed as a 4-star recruit by ESPN.com and as the sixth TE prospect in the nation.
