Izzy Bizu Bio

Isobel Beardshaw, also known as Izzy Bizu, is a British R&B singer and songwriter born in 1994 in London, England. Her musical career started gaining steam in 2011 when she joined the band SoundGirl and almost reached the UK’s Top 40 chart with the hit single “Don’t Know Why.” In 2013, Bizu started her solo career, first shining as the winner of the “Iluvlive” platform, and then releasing her debut EP “Coolbeanz.” Some of her songs were picked up by BBC radio hosts Trevor Nelson and Zane Lowe and propelled the artist to open concerts for Sam Smith and Jamie Cullum. In 2013 she made an appearance at Glastonbury, and after releasing some standalone singles in 2015, she was featured in a “Sound of 2016” poll list. Later in 2016, the young artist released her debut full-length album “A Moment of Madness,” featuring collaborations by Paul Herman and Justin Broad.
