Jonathan Clay “J. J.” Redick was born on June 24, 1984 in Cookeville, Tennessee. He played the shooting guard for the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Jonathan attended High school at Cave Spring High School in Roanoke, Virginia and he played college basketball at Duke University from 2002 to 2006. In 2006, he was the 11th overall pick in the first round of NBA draft by the Orlando Magic.
Over the years, he won the National college player of the year (2006), Adolph Rupp Trophy twice (2005, 2006), Consensus first-team All-American twice (2005, 2006), Third-team All-American – NABC (2004), ACC Player of the Year twice (2005, 2006), First-team All-ACC twice (2005, 2006), ACC Tournament MVP twice (2005, 2006), and McDonald’s All-American MVP (2002).
