J. Moss is the stage name of James Moss, an American gospel singer, musician, record producer and composer. He was born on the 22nd of September, 1971, in Detroit, Michigan, U.S. He was born in a family of gospel singers, as Bill Moss is his father, and choirmaster Mattie Moss Clark, his aunt. He began his music journey as a child, singing alongside his brother Bill Moss Jr. as The Moss Brothers. They recorded two studio albums during those years. During the 1990s, he started touring with his cousins’ band The Clark Sisters. In 2005, he released the “The J. Moss Project” through GospoCentric Records. Moss released 6 more studio albums until 2016, including “Just James” and “Grown Folks Gospel”
