Jacqueline Yvonne Harry, better known as Jackee Harry, is an award-winning American actress, comedian, director, television personality, and producer best known for her work in television and film. She was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, United States, on August 14, 1956. Jackee began her acting career in 1983 when she joined the cast of the drama series Another World, but she became a household name when she starred in the comedy series 227. She has since had a successful career that spans decades of work, primarily in television sitcoms. Jackee has been a regular on the TV series The Royal Family, Everybody Hates Chris, Let's Stay Together, The First Family, The Paynes, and Days of Our Lives, but she is best known for starring in the comedy-drama series Sister, Sister alongside Tia Mowry-Hardrict, Tamera Mowry-Housley, Tim Reid, and Marques Houston. Her filmography includes Ladybugs, The Man in 3B, The Women of Brewster Place, The Ideal Husband, Brother White, and Driving Academy. Jackee has won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series and two NAACP Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
