Jacob Latimore, born Jacob O’Neal Latimore (June 13, 1996), is an American singer, rapper and actor. The Milwaukee native first rose to fame with Radio Disney in the mid-2000s with his single, ‘Best Friend’. Jacob, with the support of his family, moved to Atlanta, Georgia after the release of his single for Jacob to pursue his music career. In 2006, he followed ‘Best Friend’ with another single, ‘Superstar’, landing at number 84 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs in 2007. The young star took a long hiatus from 2007 – 2010 where he signed with Jive Label in 2010. Regardless of his record deal, Jacob pursued a career in acting. He acted primarily in movies, his first being Vanishing on 7th Street in 2010, followed by his feature on Ride Along, The Maze Runner, Collateral Beauty amongst many others.He received a nomination for YoungStars Award at the 2012 BET Awards. This was followed by a series of singles such as ‘Like Em All’ and ‘You Come First’ in 2011 and ‘Heartbreak Heard Around The World’ featuring T-Pain in 2012. It was only in 2016 when he released his debut album, ‘Connection’ followed by ‘Connection2’ in 2019. He released a mixtape in 2019 titled ‘This Is Me 3’ in 2019 along with his single, ‘Don’t Wanna Leave’ has 1.3 million plays on Spotify.
