Jahir Ocampo is a professional diver born on 12th January 1990 in the State of Mexico, Mexico. He competed in the synchronized 3-meter springboard event at the World Aquatics Championships in Barcelona (2013) with his partner Rommel Pacheco, winning Bronze. Two years later, in Toronto, Canada, he won a gold medal at the Pan American Games 3 m Springboard synch event, one of the highest achievements in his diving career.
Jahir earned international fame during the World Championships (2013). In 2019, Ocampo and his partner Pacheco secured a 3m synchronized podium finish in the world series. In most of his diving until 2024, Ocampo worked with his co-diver, Pacheco. In February 2024, he participated in the World Aquatics Championships in Doha, Qatar, taking an early lead in the first round after completing all 3m springboard dives. His partner was Aranza Vazquez Montano.
