Jailton Almeida Bio
Jailton Almeida is a mixed martial artist born on 28th June 1991 in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. He currently competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight division. He started his career in the Brazilian regional circuit. On 14th September 2021, he defeated Nasrudin Nasrudinov at Dana White’s Conference Contender Series 39, a victory that earned him a UFC contract. On 5th February 2022, he faced Danilo Marques at UFC Fight Night 200 and won the bout in round one via knockout.
After his failed bout against Maxim Grishin, he faced heavyweight MMA fighter Poarker Porter and went on to win the bout in round one via rear-naked choke. He would later face Shamil Abdurakhimov at UFC 280 and won the fight in the second round via knockout. He also faced Joirzinho Rozenstruik at UFC on ABC 4 and won in the first round via naked choke.
