JAIN is the stage name of the French singer, songwriter, and musician Jeanne Louise Galice. She was born in Toulouse, France on February 7, 1992. Jain grew up traveling the world in places like Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Congo-Brazzaville. Each of the places she lived influenced her music style and instruments she played. She learned to play the drums in Pau, Arabic percussion in the Middle East, and musical programming in Congo-Brazzaville. Jain started her music career uploading demo tracks on Myspace. In 2015 she released her debut EP titled Hope. That same year she also released her debut studio album titled Zanaka. The album charted at number 5 in France and also charted in several other countries around the world. In 2018 she released her sophomore album titled Souldier. The album charted at number 1 in France, 3 in Belgium, and 2 in Switzerland. It was certified platinum by the SNEP. Throughout her career she has been nominated for a number of awards and has won a NRJ Music Award, a Prix Talents W9 Award, two Victoires de la Musique Awards, and a European Border Breakers Award.
