Jake Choi is an American actor born on the 12th of May 1986, in Queens, New York. After graduating high school, he moved to South Korea to play basketball at Yonsei University, and he then played in the Korean Basketball League. He returned to the US, where he studied at the Lee Strasberg Institute in New York, as well at the T. Schreiber Studio, alongside Bob Krakower and Ted Sluberski. In 2015, Choi played his first role in the movie “Front Cover” a romantic comedy that featured two male leads. His performance received very positive critical reviews. Choi appeared then on several TV shows like “Broad City”, “Younger” and “Hawaii 5-0”. In 2018, Choi was cast as Miggy, a 20-year old single dad in the ABC pilot “Single Parents”, which lasted 22 episodes and became ABC's third ranked sitcom. In 2019, he started appearing on “EastSiders” a Netflix comedy.
