James Buckley, born James Patrick Buckley, is a British actor who was born on August 14, 1987, in Croydon, England. His first appearance was in a short film, titled ‘Black Eyes’, in 1996. He later guest-starred in a few TV series, such as ‘Teachers’, ‘Holby City’, ‘Skins’, ‘Sold’, and ‘Fresh!’. He landed a recurring role in 2009 for the TV series ‘Off the Hook’. In 2008, he was cast to play one of his most recognized roles: the starring part of Jay Cartwright for the TV series ‘The Inbetweeners’, that he played alongside Simon Bird, Joe Thomas, and Blake Harrison. The show wrapped in 2010, but James resumed his role for ‘The Inbetweeners Movie’ and ‘The Inbetweeners 2’, released in 2011 and 2014, respectively. Some other important roles were Sponge in 2016 ‘Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping’, starring Andy Samberg, and 2013 ‘The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman’, starring Shia LaBeouf and Evan Rachel Wood.
