James Earl Conner is an American professional football player who plays as a running back in the NFL. He was born in Erie, Pennsylvania, United States, on May 5, 1995. James spent his formative years playing for McDowell High School and the University of Pittsburgh, and he turned professional in 2017 when he was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the third round of the NFL Draft. He signed with the Arizona Cardinals in 2021, and throughout his time in Arizona, James played alongside Kyler Murray, DeAndre Hopkins, Marquise Brown, and J. J. Watt. His career highlights include two Pro Bowls and being named ACC Player of the Year and ACC Offensive Player of the Year.
