James Corden was born on August 22, 1978 in London, England. His debut role was in TwentyFourSeven (1997). After scoring a few minor television parts, Corden gained a recurring role in Fat Friends from 2000-2005, which got him a nomination for the 2000 Royal Television Society Award. In 2004, Corden got his introduction to theatre in The History Boys, which toured internationally. While working on Fat Friends, Corden and his castmate Ruth Jones decided to collaborate on a sitcom entitled Gavin and Stacey, which ran from 2007 to 2010 and which they both starred in. The show won two awards from the British Film Academy: Best Comedy Show and Best Comedy Actor. In 2011, Corden got the lead role in the theatre production of One Man, Two Guvnors, which gained international acclaim and won Best Play at the Evening Standard Theatre Award. He also wrote and starred in another series, The Wrong Man, which was aired in the United States. In 2015, he began to host The Late Late Show.
