James Dean Bradfield is a Welsh singer, songwriter, and musician who performs alternative rock and post-punk music. He was born in Pontypool, Wales, on February 21, 1969. James began his music career in 1986 when he formed the rock band Manic Street Preachers with Nicky Wire, Miles Woodward, and Sean Moore. Even as a member of Manic Street Preachers, James released music as a solo artist, and his discography includes the hit singles The Boy from the Plantation, That’s No Way To Tell A Lie, Still A Long Way To Go, and the studio projects The Great Western and Even in Exile. With Manic Street Preachers, James has won four Brit Awards for British Album of the Year and British Group.
