James Durbin Bio
James William Durbin is an American singer, songwriter, actor, and TV personality who performs pop rock and metal music. He was born in Santa Cruz, California, United States, on January 6, 1989.
James began performing theatre in the mid-2000s when he joined the group Kids on Broadway. He starred in theatrical releases of West Side Story, Grease, and Sweet Charity.
James became famous in 2009 when he competed in the eighth season of the reality series American Idol which featured Paula Abdul, Randy Jackson, Simon Cowell, and Kara DioGuardi. James made it through all the preliminary rounds, but he was eliminated in the Top 4.
James released his debut studio project Memories Of A Beautiful Disaster, and his discography now includes the singles Parachute, Stand Up, Higher Than Heaven, and the albums Celebrate, Riot on Sunset, and Homeland.
