James Milner is a professional football player who plays as a midfielder for Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion. Born on 4th January 1986 in Leeds, England, Milner is widely recognized for his versatility as Jurgen Klopp has deployed him as a winger, midfielder, and full-back. He started his career with the Leeds United football academy. He went on to make 48 appearances for the senior side before signing for Newcastle United in 2004. He went on loan to Aston Villa in 2005. He returned to Newcastle for two season and re-signed for Aston Villa on a permanent deal in 2008.
Milner agreed to join Manchester City in August 2010. He went on to make 147 appearances with the club before signing for Liverpool in 2015. In May 2023, Milner left the club as a free agent following the expiry of his contract. He joined Brighton & Hove Albion. Milner has played for the various youth levels of the England national team. He was officially called to the senior side in 2009 and went on to make 61 appearances until 2016, when he retired from national football.
