James Otto Bio

James Otto, and American country music artist, was born at the Fort Louis Army Base in Washington. After a brief stint in the U.S. Navy, Otto signed with Mercury Nashville Records. His debut album, Days of Our Lives, was released in 2004 following three minor hit singles; after being dropped from the label, he signed to Warner Bros. Records in 2007 and released Sunset Man in 2008, which gave him his first hit single, “Just Got Started Lovin’ You”. This single also became 2008’s Number One country single. Otto’s third studio album, Shake What God Gave Ya, was released in 2010 and peaked at number 10 on the Billboard US Country charts. James Otto was commissioned to perform the Atlanta Braves’ new theme song in 2008. Otto, along with Big & Rich and Gretchen Wilson, is a member of the MuzikMafia, a collective of country singer-songwriters who play “country music without prejudice”.
