James White is an American professional football player born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on February 3, 1992. He is currently a running back for the New England Patriots of the National Football League. White played football in high school at St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida for the Raiders. He went on to play college football at the University of Wisconsin for the Wisconsin Badgers from 2010 to 2013. In 2014 he was selected by the New England Patriots in the fourth round, 130th overall, in the 2014 NFL Draft. He made his NFL debut in week 4 against the Kansas City Chiefs. In 2017 he signed a three-year extension contract with the Patriots for $12 million. White was named a team captain in 2018. With the Patriots, he became a three-time Super Bowl champion in Super Bowl XLIX, LI, and LIII. Throughout his career he has recorded 856 rushing yards, 7 rushing touchdowns, 248 receptions, 2,164 receiving yards, and 19 receiving touchdowns.
