James Lee Duncan Carragher, known as Jamie Carragher, is an English retired soccer player and soccer pundit. He was born in Bootle, Merseyside, England, on January 28, 1978. Jamie began his soccer career in 1988 when he joined the youth setup at Liverpool, and he turned professional in 1996 when he signed with their senior team. Jamie represented Liverpool for the entirety of his soccer career, playing alongside fellow Liverpool legends Steven Gerrard, Pepe Reina, Michael Owen, and Xabi Alonso. He captained Liverpool as they won the UEFA Champions League, FA Cup, UEFA Cup, League Cup, and UEFA Super Cup. Since his retirement, Jamie has become well known for his soccer punditry on Sky Sports where he works alongside Gary Neville, Micah Richards, and Roy Keane.
