Jamie Kennedy is an American actor, comedian, producer, and screenwriter, born in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania on May 25, 1970. He is best known for his roles in the Scream movies and on the television show The Jamie Kennedy Experiment. His career in acting started as a professional extra in Hollywood. He worked as a host in a restaurant and as a telemarketer while auditioning for commercials and roles in movies and television. Realizing he was good at selling things he became his own manager and was more successful in landing himself gigs than other managers that had represented him. His first big success was in 1996 when he landed the role of Randy Meeks in the horror-comedy film Scream. He has since been in other films and television series like, Three Kings, Dr. Dolittle 2, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Max Keeble’s Big Movie, Night Visions, Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle, Son of the Mask, Living with Fran, Criminal Minds, Extreme Movie, The Cleveland Show, The Sand, and many more. In his career in acting he has been nominated for several awards and has won a Blockbuster Entertainment Award for Favorite Supporting Actor – Horror. In 2003 he released an autobiography titled Wannabe: A Hollywood Experiment.
