Jamie Redknapp Bio

Jamie Redknapp is an English former soccer player born in Barton on Sea, Hampshire, on July 25, 1973. He is the son of the trainer Harry Redknapp, who trained him as a child. Jamie started playing professionally in the AFC Bournemouth, participating in 13 matches within two seasons. He became a figure as a center-field playing 239 matches wearing the red shirt of the Liverpool team, making 31 goals. While he was playing in Anfield Club, Redknapp obtained diverse national and international titles, being the team captain for three seasons, from 1999 to 2002. After he played in the World Cup 2002, celebrated in Korea and Japan, he was called to sign with Tottenham Hotspur and then, in 2005, he retired playing in the Southampton FC.
