Jane Birkin is an English-Drench actress, model, songwriter and singer. She was born Jane Mallory Birkin, on the 14th of December, 1946, in London, England. She began her acting career in 1966 appearing in small roles in movies such as Michelangelo Antonioni’s “Blowup” and “Kaleidoscope”. In 1969 she co-starred with Serge Gainsbourg in the movie “Slogan”, which would mark the beginning of a long professional and personal relationship. Birkin and Gainsbourg released their debut album “Jane Birkin/Serge Gainsbourg” in the same year. The album included the hit song “Je t’aime…Moi Non Plus” which reached number one in UK charts. Overall, Birkin released over 10 studio albums between 1969 and 2017, including “Lolita Go Home” and “Baby alone in Babylone”. She also holds credits in more than 30 movies, such as “L’Animal”, “Death on the Nile” and “Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea”, among many others. In 2001, Birkin was awarded the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire rewarding her artistic career.
