January Jones is an American actress and model born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on January 5, 1978. She is best known for her role as Betty Draper in the television series Mad Men. The role earned her two nominations for Golden Globe Awards for Best Actress in a Television Series Drama and a nomination for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. In 1999 she made her debut on television in the show Get Real and continued landing roles in the shows Huff, Mad Men, Law & Order, The Last Man on Earth, Return of the Mac, The Politician, In My Life and more. She made her debut in film in 1999 in the movie It’s the Rage and has since had roles in the films The Glass House, Bandits, Taboo, Full Frontal, Love Actually, We Are Marshall, Unknown, The Boat That Rocked, Seeking Justice, Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights and others. Throughout her career she has been nominated for several awards and has won two Screen Actors Guild Awards and a Character and Morality in Entertainment Award.
