Jared Scot Allen is an American retired football player who plays as a defensive end in the NFL. He was born in Dallas, Texas, United States, on April 3, 1982. Jared spent his formative years playing for Los Gatos High School and Idaho State University, and he turned professional in 2004 when he was selected by the Kansas City Chiefs in the fourth round of the NFL Draft. He went on to represent the Minnesota Vikings, Chicago Bears, and Carolina Panthers, and throughout his time with the Vikings, Jared played alongside Christian Ponder, Jerome Felton, Brian Robison, and Adrian Peterson. Jared’s career highlights include five Pro Bowls, NFL sacks leader, and being included in the 50 Greatest Vikings list.
