Jarell Martin is an American professional basketball player born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on May 24, 1994. He is a power forward for the Orlando Magic of the National Basketball Association. Martin played basketball in high school at Madison Prep in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In 2013 he was named McDonald’s All-American and Louisiana Mr. Basketball. He went on to play college basketball at Louisiana State University for the LSU Tigers basketball team from 2013 to 2015. In 2015 he was selected by the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round, 25th overall, in the 2015 NBA Draft. Martin signed a rookie contract with the Grizzlies. In 2018 he was traded to the Orlando Magic for Dakari Johnson and the draft right to Tyler Harvey.
