Jasmine Cephas Jones is a British actress and singer-songwriter who was born on July 21st 1989 in London, England, United Kingdom. She was born and raised in the UK by her parents. Her father is the American actor Ron Cephas Jones and her mother the British-born jazz singer Kim Lesley.
Jasmine rose to fame starring as Maria Reynolds and Margarita “Peggy” Schuyler Van Rensselaer in the award-winning musical Hamilton. She is also known for her appearance in Blindspotting (2018). Jasmine and her Father Ron Cephas Jone broke the Emmys history by becoming the first father-daughter duo to win Emmy Awards in the same year. Some of her well known singles include Wild Thing (2020), Little Bird (2020) and Wild Thing - Remix (2021 feat Daveed Diggs).
