Jason Bateman is an American television and movie actor, director and producer. He was born Jason Kent Bateman on the 14th of February, 1969, in Rye, New York, U.S. He began his career in the early 1980s when he landed a role in the historical drama series “House on the Prairie” starring Michael Landon and Melissa Gilbert. Soon, he got more roles in other series such as “Silver Spoons” and “The Hogan Family”. In 2003, he got further recognition for his work in the sitcom “Arrested Development”, for which he won a Golden Globe, as well as a Satellite Award. He appeared in several movies including “The Break-Up” starring Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston, and “Juno” starring Ellen Page. He also starred in many movies such as “Teen Wolf Too”, “The Switch”, and “Horrible Bosses”. Bateman made his debut as a director in 2013, with the comedy “Bad Words”, in which he also starred. He also directed and starred in the acclaimed drama series “Ozark” in 2017, for which he was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series in 2019 and the Screen Actors Guild Award for his performance on the show.
