Jason Isaacs is an English movie actor and producer. He was born as Jason Michael Issacs on the 6th of June, 1963, in Liverpool, England. While studying Law at Bristol University, he directed and appeared in over 20 local theatre productions. Isaacs then attended the Central School of Speech and Drama, where he graduated in 1989. His film debut was the same year, as he landed a small role in the movie “The Tall Guy” directed by Mel Smith. His career took off and he started appearing in many television series such as “Capital City”, “Civvies”, “Highlander: The Series” among many others. Isaacs made his Hollywood debut in 1997, opposite Laurence Fishburne in the thriller “Event Horizon”. In 1998, he starred alongside Bruce Willis in the box office success “Armageddon”. 1999, he acted alongside Julianne Moore and Ralph Fiennes in the movie “The End of The Affair”. In 2000, he played alongside Heath Ledger and Mel Gibson in the war drama “The Patriot”. Overall, Isaacs has credits in more than 30 movies and 20 television series, and many theatre productions. He became worldwide known for portraying Lucius Malfoy in the saga “Harry Potter” based on J.K. Rowling’s best-seller novels.
