Jason Kennedy was born on December 11, 1981 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. His interest in the press started young when, in his teen years, he created his own mock-news show by tailing local news trucks and setting up his own studio in his basement. His setup was complete with 20 televisions, four cameras, a news desk, and an editing bay. He made his first appearance on air at age 15, and then he starred in Too Hot for Ice at 17. He attended the University of Miami, receiving several awards, including the Associated Press Award for Best News Feature in the state of Florida.
Making the big leap to Los Angeles, he successfully landed his first job in 2004, where he anchored segments for Open Call on the TV Guide Channel. In 2005, he joined E! as a correspondent and gained momentum, co-hosting The Daily Ten and covering important events in celebrity news. Kennedy went on to host his first prime-time show, Dance Machine (2008) on ABC. He’s also guest starred on Drop Dead Diva and 90210. Kennedy currently is the co-host of E! News, co-anchor of E! News Weekend and host of Beyond A.D. He appears regularly on Today and as a guest on Chelsea Lately.
