Jason R. Reitman is an award-winning Canadian-American filmmaker, director, writer, and producer best known for his work in film and television. He was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, on October 19, 1977. Jason began his career creating short films and commercials, and in 2005 he made his first feature film, Thank You for Smoking. He has since worked on the films The Front Runner, Tully, Whiplash, Labor Day, Up in the Air, Young Adult, and Jennifer's Body, but he is best known for writing and directing the film Ghostbusters: Afterlife which featured Carrie Coon, Paul Rudd, Finn Wolfhard, and Mckenna Grace. Jason has won multiple awards including a Writers Guild of America Award for Best Adapted Screenplay, a BAFTA award for Best Screenplay – Adapted, and a Golden Globe for Best Screenplay - Motion Picture.
