Jason Schwartzman is an American actor, screenwriter, producer, musician, born on June 26, 1980, in Los Angeles, California. He is best known for his roles in Wes Anderson's films Rushmore, The Darjeeling Limited, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Moonrise Kingdom, The Grand Budapest Hotel, and Isle of Dogs. He has also starred in Spun, I Heart Huckabees, Shopgirl, Marie Antoinette, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, and many more. He was the drummer of the band Phantom Planet for nine years before becoming a member of Coconut Records. Jason is also known for his role as Jonathan Ames on the HBO series Bored to Death, where he plays a writer who moonlights as an unlicensed detective advertising himself on Craigslist. He has also lent his voice to Fantastic Mr. Fox and Klaus. He is the son of producer Jack Schwartzman and actress Talia Shire, and the older brother of actor Robert Schwartzman.
