Jason Segel Bio
Jason Segel was born on January 18, 1980 in Los Angeles, California. His first role was on the series Freaks and Geeks in 1999 with fellow funny-men James Franco and Seth Rogen. Later he had a recurring role in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and landed his first major role in How I Met Your Mother, which ran for nine seasons. He also appeared in Knocked Up, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, where he performed an actual puppet show, and I Love You Man.
Segel lent his voice to the 2010 movie Despicable Me and appeared in Bad Teacher. He also starred in the Muppets film in 2007. He joined The Five-Year Engagement in 2012. Segel wrote and is producing a series of young adult novels he conceptualized as a young adult. He has been nominated for several awards, including a Young Artist Award and Teen Choice Awards.
