Jason Whitlock is an American sports journalist and television host born in Indianapolis, Indiana on April 27, 1967. He is best known for co-hosting the daily sports television show on Fox Sports, Speak For Yourself. His career in journalism started when he got a part time job writing for The Herald-Times in Bloomington, Indiana. In 1992 he started working at Ann Arbor News covering the University of Michigan. In 1994 he landed a job at the Kansas City Star and while working there received a National Journalism Award for his commentary. In 2002 he was working for ESPN, writing columns for the website. He guest-hosted and made appearances on several shows while working for ESPN, including Pardon the Interruption, The Jim Rome Show, The Sports Reporters Outside the Lines, and Jim Rome Is Burning. In 2016 he started co-hosting the show he is best known for with Fox Sports 1, Speak For Yourself. He has also had articles published in The Sporting News, Vibe, and Playboy.
