Jackie Miskanic (popularly known by her studio name Jax) is an American singer, songwriter, and TikToker who was born on May 5th, 1996 in East Brunswick, New Jersey. She was born to John and Jill Miskanic and has a younger brother Matt.
Jax was part of Jersey Kidz when she was 12, a band made up of fellow pre-teen rock fans. The band won a slot in 2009’s Bamboozle Rock Festival in East Rutherford, New Jersey, headlined by No Doubt and Fall Out Boy. Jax would later study on Scholarship from BMI’s John Lennon Songwriting Program. In January 2015 she auditioned in the fourteenth season of American Idol with her version of I Want to Hold Your Hand. She finished third overall that season. In January the next year, she released the single La La Land and it was a hit.
Her debut single Forcefield was a hit and her other singles RingPop, Come Home to Me, and Papercuts followed.
