Jay Ellis Bio

Born on December 27, 1981, Wendell Ellis Jr. came from Sumter, South Carolina, USA. He is a known actor, philanthropist, and entrepreneur. His childhood was mostly spent with his military family, as his father served 15 years in the Air Force, while his mother is a former board member of Consumer Advisory Council for the Federal. He graduated as Suma Cum Laude at Concordia University.

Jay briefly trained basketball with Portland Trailblazers. He soon moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting career which led to his role on the BET series “The Game.” He was also featured on other series like “Masters of Sex,” “Grace and Frankie,” “How I Met Your Mother,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” and “NCIS.”
