Jay Leno is an American comedian and television show host. He was born James Douglas Muir Leno on the 28th of April, 1950, in New Rochelle, New York, U.S. He started his career performing in local venues as a stand up comedian. Soon he landed some small roles in movies like “American Hot Wax” in 1978. He also started appearing in late-night shows like “Late Night With David Letterman” in 1982, and “The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson”. He made his first breakthrough in 1992 with his own talk show “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno”. Leno won the 1995 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Variety, Music, or Comedy Series for “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” and he was nominated for the same price in 1996 and 1998. Leno’s show also won the 1999 TV Guide Award for Favorite Late Night Show.
