Jay Park Bio

Jay Park was born Park Jae-beom on April 25, 1987. He became a trainee of JYP Entertainment in 2004 and debuted as the leader of the K-pop group 2PM. He left the group in 2010 and pursued a solo career. In June of the same year, his first EP Count on Me topped Korea’s Gaon Chart. The year after, his mini-album Take a Deeper Look, made it to No.3 of the Billboard World Albums chart. The record also went multi-platinum in South Korea. In 2012, New Breed, Park’s debut LP, landed on No. 4 of the Billboard World Albums chart and topped Korean charts.

He released Evolution (2014) which landed on No.5 of the US World Charts and No. 3 of the Korean Charts afterward. ₩orld ₩ide (2015) landed on the same position on both charts, and Everything You Wanted (2016) peaked on No. 3 of the US World Charts and No. 5 on the Korean charts. In 2017, Roc Nation, a company founded by JAY-Z signed Jay Park.

Jay Park also featured on Charli XCX’s track “Unlock It” with Kim Petras and in Jarren Benton’s “Money Bag.”
