Jay Shetty was born on 7th September, 1987 in London, United Kingdom. He is an author, former monk, purpose coach, podcast host, vlogger, and motivational speaker. Shetty served as a monk for three years, woke up at 4 am, meditated for 4 to 8 hours, served in communities, and studied timeless wisdom. After mastering the mind, he chose to apply mindfulness in the real world and won 2 Streamy Awards, #1 Health Podcast - On Purpose, was featured in Forbes 30 under 30, won a Shorty Award, and was a part of National Geographic's Chasing Genius Council. As a vlogger, he went viral for his “Chasing The World Begins With Us” video which received more than 10 million views. Shetty published his book “Think Like a Monk” in 2020.
