She developed a relationship with artist Missy Elliott, and experienced a breakthrough with the release of her debut single “Need U Bad” in 2008. The single shot to the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, and she followed this success with the release of her album Fearless that fall. Fearless went to #6 on the Billboard 200.
