Jeffrey Wright is an American actor born in Washington D.C. on December 7, 1965. He is best known for his role as Belize in the Broadway production and HBO series Angels in America. He started his acting career appearing in off-Broadway production in New York City and Washington D.C. In 1990 he made his debut in film in the movie Presumed Innocent and continued landing roles in the films Faithful, Critical Care, Too Tired to Die, Cement, Ride with the Devil, Hamlet, Ali, D-Tox, Broken Flowers, W., Quantum Solace, Casino Royal, Broken City, A Single Shot, All Rise, Game Night, The Public, Hold the Dark, Honest Thief, The Goldfinch, The Laundromat, The French Dispatch and more. He made his debut on television in 1991 in the television movie Separate but Equal and has since had roles in the television shows and films The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, New York Undercover, Boycott, Angels in America, House, Boardwalk Empire, The Venture Brothers, Westworld, She’s Gotta Have It, and others.
